NEET PG 2025 dates and schedule have been released days after NBE postponed the exam. The exam is scheduled to be held on August 3, 2025 in single shift. As per the official notification, the application form window for NEET PG 2025 will open from June 13 to June 17, 2025 to choose exam city. Correction window to edit NEET PG 2025 application form will open on June 20, 2025. NBE will release NEET PG city intimation slip 2025 on July 21, 2025. Candidates will be informed the name of the exam city through city allotment. Those who will apply successfuly will be issued admit cards. NEET PG 2025 admit card will be uploaded online on July 31, 2025. Candidates will have to download the admit card with login credentials. The exam will be held in 179 test cities across country.
Earlier, Supreme Court allowed NBE to postpone NEET PG 2025 exam from June 15 to August 3, 2025. NEET PG 2025 exam was postponed following supreme Court's order. Earlier, NBE filed an application in Supreme Court, seeking its permission to revise NEET PG 2025 date. NBE said August 3 is the earliest possible date as provided by its technology partner TCS. SC had directed NBE to conduct exam in single shift on May 30, 2025. NBE had released NEET PG 2025 application form on April 17 and the deadline to submit the application was May 7, 2025.
The cut off date for internship is July 31, 2025. As part of registration, candidates have to submit basic details such as name, date of birth, email ID, monbile number etc. A login credentials is created after successful registration. NEET PG 2025 application process comprises registration, filling in details in application form, selecting exam centre, paying exam fee etc.
Candidates have to register and declare choices of college and course on the official website MCC, mcc.nic.in to participate in the counselling. What is NEET PG?
NEET PG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post-Graduation), is conducted for providing admission to various MD (Doctor of Medicine)/ MS (Master of Surgery) and PG Diploma courses across the country. The National Board of Examinations (NBE) conducts the exam once a year in computer-based mode. The scores are also used for taking admission to postgraduate MBBS DNB courses. The exam is conducted for 13,649 MS seats, 26,168 MD seats, and 922 PG Diploma seats offered by various medical colleges in India.

NEET PG application form process involves steps such as registration, filling up details in the application form, paying exam fee, and uploading documents. The application process starts with registration. Only those candidates who register themselves on the official website of NBE, nbe.edu.in can submit the application form for NEET PG. A login ID and password will be generated after the successful NEET PG registration 2025 process. To complete the application process, candidates have to upload scanned copies of photographs and signatures. These images must be as per the specifications mentioned by NBE. Candidates will have to pay a non-refundable application fee to complete NEET PG applications 2025. NEET PG 2025 registration began on April 17, 2025. May 7 was the deadline to submit NEET PG 2025 application form. The application form correction window will open from May 9 to May 13, 2025.

NEET PG 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who wish to apply for the exam or who wish to participate in the counselling process must check the eligibility criteria before applying for it. NBE releases NEET PG eligibility criteria along with the information brochure. NEET PG eligibility criteria have been summarised below:
Aspirants must possess an MBBS degree/provisional Pass Certificate which is recognised as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956
They should also possess a permanent/ provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council
They must have completed the duration of their internship on or before July 31, 2025
NEET PG 2025 Syllabus
NEET PG 2025 syllabus is based on the curriculum taught during the MBBS. The syllabus includes key topics of the three sections of the question paper, section A (clinical), Section B (pre-clinical), and Section C (para-clinical) subjects. These three sections contain questions from the topics such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Forensic medicine, and Social and Preventive medicine.
NEET PG 2025 Pattern
Candidates need to know NEET PG 2025 exam pattern as it helps candidates in preparation. The exam pattern for NEET PG comprises details about the test paper, comprising the mode, medium, number of the question paper, duration of time, and the marking scheme. NEET PG 2025 exam will be held in online mode. The question paper will have 200 multiple choice questions, and candidates will be given 3.5 hours to answer them. There will be a provision of the negative marking in the exam. For every correct answer, candidates will be awarded 4 marks and for an incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted.
