Accordingly, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dan agreed with the proposal of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs on the Lunar New Year holiday from January 31 to February 4, 2022.
Because two days before Lunar New Year 2022 (January 29-30, 2022) and two days after Tet (February 5, 2022) are Saturdays and Sundays, cadres, civil servants, public employees, employees State agencies and employees of socio-political organizations are entitled to 9 consecutive days off during the Lunar New Year in 2022.
Normally, most people take the Lunar New Year holiday according to the state holiday schedule. However, for students, students and employees in the service sector, there will be a Tet holiday schedule that changes depending on the decision of the school and the employer. But in general, the 2022 Lunar New Year holiday will not move much compared to the state holiday schedule.

Starting from 2021, National Day will be closed for 2 days according to the provisions of the Labor Code, which is September 2, and the day immediately preceding or following.
In 2022, the National Day holiday, civil servants and public employees are entitled to 2 days off according to regulations, including one adjacent day before or after. However, if the next day off, the employee will be compensated according to regulations because that day coincides with the rest day. Therefore, the National Day holiday is expected to be closed for four days from September 1 to September 4, 2022, that is, from Thursday to Sunday. With this option, civil servants and public employees can take a whole week off without having to take compensatory leave.
