Considerations of selecting your heat pump

Zealux's air-to-water heat pumps offer a new level of efficiency, providing exceptional warmth while treading lightly on the planet. Experience the harmony of their low GWP value, durable construction, and timeless design.

The heat pump’s difference lies in the way they extract heat from the environment.

  1. Air/water heat pump – Air source heat pumps is based on the principle of extracting energy from the ambient air and transferring it to the hot water heating system. The medium is heating/cooling water. In terms of design, these heat pumps are divided into split (split) and monoblock units. The great advantage of this natural element is that it is ubiquitous.
  1. Ground/water heat pump – This method is based on extracting heat from the ground or a geothermal borehole.
  2. Water/Water Heat Pump – The method is based on extracting heat from two wells.

The common denominator of these three types of heat pumps is the low potential hot water system (floor, wall, and ceiling heating/ cooling).

  1. Air/Air Heat Pump – This type is suitable for hot air heating systems, where the air is used as the working medium, which is distributed to all areas of the building by a system of air ducts. The heat pump is preferably used in these systems as a source of cold (air conditioning).

The main problem with the ground /water and water/water types is the lack of area and water as a source for implementation. Therefore, the most economical point of view of installation and service is the most favorable way for the air/water heat pump.

Heat loss of the house

But, what is good to know when choosing is the heat loss of your family home. Before purchasing a heat pump, make sure that there is no over- or under-rated output of the appliance. Oversizing performance could result in greater component wear at more frequent starts when the appliance no longer needs to supply heat to the home. On the other hand, when you are measuring, the device would not have to manage to supply heat in the required need. For this reason, ATTACK offers a wide power portfolio with outputs of 6, 9, 12, 15, and 19 kW.

Important parameters

COP and EER

Important parameters that you should pay attention to when choosing a heat pump are COP and EER. These two parameters indicate the efficiency of the heat pump. The COP parameter is for heating and EER for cooling. The ATTACK Inverter R32 air/water heat pump achieves a high COP/EER coefficient of up to 4.6, which means that 1 kW of supplied electricity produces up to 4.6 kW of heat/cold.

SCOP and SEER

These two parameters give essentially the same values as COP and EER but are averaged over the whole season. The SCOP value gives the calculation of the average heating over the season under standard conditions. This seasonal coefficient of performance in the heating mode is calculated as the ratio of the heat energy (heat) transferred to the electrical energy input during the whole year season. The SCOP reflects a more realistic value of the heat pump’s seasonal efficiency and includes all heat pump components (not just the compressor) consumption. The SCOP value of the ATTACK Inverter R32 air/water heat pumps of the ATTACK Inverter R32 power series is (in the range of 4.71 – 4.99). The higher the value the better. ATTACK monoblock heat pumps guarantee year-round operation with the possibility of cooling, and heating with stable performance even at very low outdoor temperatures. The same method as for SCOP also applies to SEER which is the parameter for cooling. It is measured under variable ambient conditions and in real mode. The higher the better.

Take advantage of the benefits of a heat pump.

A simple and cheap solution for a family house or business, the possibility of drawing state subsidies, high comfort of use, and the creation of 2-5 times more electricity than its consumption. Carefree use and long service life.
