I am an entrepreneur based in San Francisco, California. I had a taste for wine from an early age. Born across the street from my wine-making mentor and friend Robert Rex, in Berkeley, California, in 2005 I went to work Robert’s Apprentice at Deerfield Ranch winery where I met Ben. As we honed our craft under Robert’s tutelage, together, we made our first batch of Idle Cellars wine in 2006. Almost two decades later Ari continues to foster his deep passion for Idle Cellars wines, while working and traveling around the globe, continuing to share his craft with friends.
20 years have passed, and I'm proud to say that today, Idle Cellars is an acclaimed online wine shop, and boutique micro-winery in Sonoma County, California, known for its small-batch, handcrafted wines that emphasize the unique character of local vineyards.
