The Air Jordan 1 High OG Dark Marina Blue debuted in June 2021 and is scheduled to release in the first quarter of the new year. Before hitting US retailers, though, the duo will debut in the UK and Europe on January 22. At first glance, the upcoming sneaker appears to be a revamped version of the "Royal Blue" colorway that the model debuted in 1985, but a closer look reveals enough of a difference to distinguish the pair. The upper is made entirely of synthetic leather, with exposed panels in the toe box, midfoot and collar area. Meanwhile, the overlays found in these aforementioned locations incorporate the Air Jordan 1's aptly named "Dark Marina Blue" hue; as do the tongue tab and Nike Dunk-inspired sole. Each component contributes to a look sure to dominate spring and summer, while also providing another canvas for customizers to create a "Neo-Vintage" sneaker.

These also appear to have been delayed, with only Europe reporting a January 21 launch. Although it consists of more than two shades, it does not look like this at first glance. Grey accents the overlays and Swoosh, while the off-white finish on the bottom contrasts nicely with the off-white finish on the base. Aside from the slightly lighter tongue, the upper is a simple repeat of the silhouette's most classic configuration, as the leather has been replaced by premium suede.

As the world mourns the Off-frontman, many in White wonder how his partners Nike and Louis Vuitton will handle any posthumous release. Sotheby's will auction 200 bigram styles (above and below) ahead of the February 8 release of the entire collection at LV stores. Bids will start at $2,000 and will be made online; a single colorway will be offered in various sizes, and each of the 200 pairs sold will include an orange leather trunk that won't be released commercially. The Sotheby’s auction will benefit Abloh’s “postmodern” scholarship fund, the first of several related initiatives planned for the remainder of 2022.
