Understanding the Role of an NVOCC Service Provider and Freight Forwarder
An NVOCC service provider, short for Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier, acts as a carrier to shippers. Although they do not own the vessels, they lease space from shipping lines and issue their own bill of lading, known as an NVOCC Bill of Lading.
